How To Install
Venetians Blinds

Mount the Brackets

Before you begin

Check your ‘Measure’ sheet to determine the configuration of the blind.

You need to determine what type of surface you are mounting your bracket to. Predrill using the brackets as a guide. Ensure you use appropriate plugs and masonary tools if mounting into brick or stone. It’s best to install brackets on studs if possible.

Timber

We recommend predrilling holes and use 25mm button head screws

Plaster

We recommend a wall anchor.

Stone, Concrete, Brick, Tile

Use a masonry drill with appropriate screws, anchors and plugs

There needs to be a maximum 300mm between brackets to ensure the strength of the blind. Secure brackets with one  screw only, once satisfied with position proceed to secure brackets in place using the second screw. Make sure to mount brackets where they will not interfere with venetian  mechanisms.

Install the Blind

When inserting the headrail into the brackets, hook the front of the headrail to the front of the bracket (spring loaded side). Once the front is in, rotate and push toward the glass so the rear of the headrail clips into the rear hooks of the bracket.
Hook the front end in
Rotate headrail into position

Install Child Safety Clip

A child safety clip must be installed if the cord sits lower than 1.6 metres from the floor.

We here at Blinds On Demand take the safety of our kids very seriously.

The blind must be installed so that the loose cord cannot form a loop 220mm or longer at a height of less than 1.6m above the floor.

Position the clip against the window frame inaccessible to small children. Screw the clip into the architrave or window frame.

WARNING: Young children have died by wrapping loose curtain and blind cords or chains around their necks. Secure cords or chains with cord guides or keep them out of reach by winding them around a cleat. Move cots and furniture away from window covering cords or chains. Do not remove this label.
