Configuration
Before you begin
It is important to note that Panel Blinds can only be face fitted. Our Panel Blinds can have a minimum of 3 panels, and a maximum of 5 panels
Measuring
Measuring the width:
Measure the exact width of architrave.
Note:
Add 50-100mm on both sides.
Measuring the drop:
Measure the drop from the top of architrave to where you would like the
blind to finish.
Finish to the floor:
Note:
We recommend measuring 10mm
above the floor.
Finish above the floor:
Note:
We recommend measuring
50-100mm past the sill.
Calculating Panel size
It is important to understand the size of the panels to ensure you are happy with the finished product.
Example:
- To illustrate how this is done, we will do the calculations on an example track of 3000mm wide with 5 panels, see image 1.
- Each overlapping panel requires 70mm of overlap, see image 2. If the blind has 5 panels, there would be 4 instances of overlap.
-
Multiply the 70mm overlap by the number of times the panels overlap, this gives you the total measurement of overlap
70mm X 4 = 280 -
Add the total measurement of overlap to the total width of the window, this will give you the total width of all panels.
3000 + 280 = 3280 -
Divide the total width of all panels by the number of panels, this will give you the width of the individual panels.
3280 ÷ 5 = 656
